Advancing 3D Printing: Collaboration Drives Large-Scale Additive Manufacturing Breakthroughs

Exciting collaboration with industry to advance 3D printing technology towards large-scale additive manufacturing! Regardless of the season, our teams work hard. Check out the latest 3D print of CEAD’s 3D model!

As part of the ROBOPROX research focus on control of complex robotic structures dealing with additive manufacturing and large-scale 3D printing, Michal Rytíř and the team of the RCMT FME CTUFaculty of Mechanical Engineering CTU, together with the partner in Large Format 3D printing, CEAD Group, tested 3D large-scale part.

Among others, they managed to:

  • Test the process parameters of the new material, Dahltram® T-100GF by Airtech Advanced Materials Group.
  • Test and fine-tune the robot’s control system for workpieces with changing toolpath in every layer.
  • Optimize the robot’s control system for high-quality prints.

We appreciate the cooperation and commitment of our partners. CEAD Group provides consultations on extruder settings, ensuring seamless hardware integration. Together with Airtech, we focus on optimising the printing process and setting up the printing process from the print material perspective.
