D.A.R. Continuum: Conference on Data, AI, Automation, and Robotization

Location: CIIRC CTU, Jugoslávských partyzánů 1580/3, 160 00 Prague 6 – Dejvice
Date: April 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Stakeholders and target audience: researchers, R&D stuff, policymakers, funders, and interested members of the public
Language: English
Contact: Michal Trčka (the event coordinator) | michal.trcka@jh-inst.cas.cz | +420 775 112 135

The event aims to explore the continuum between open and FAIR data, the automation and robotization of processes, and artificial intelligence, highlighting how these domains mutually shape one another. This process is accelerated as data infrastructures evolve into algorithmic intelligence and materialize into autonomous and robotic systems operating within human social environments. The event will bring together researchers, R&D staff, policymakers, funders, and interested members of the public to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue on these developments. Particular attention will be devoted to how AI-based technologies are reshaping knowledge production, governance, and responsibility in the age of data sharing (open science) and autonomous systems (e.g., self-driving laboratories).

Among the other things, the conference highlights ROBOPROX’s role in advancing automation and robotic solutions for research and industrial environments. Zdeněk Hanzálek, Principal Investigator of ROBOPROX, will present on how AI-enhanced automation pipelines and robotic processes enable smarter, more adaptable workflows, showcasing practical applications of autonomous systems in real-world settings.

The event is organized by the OP JAK AMULET project, The Czech Academy of Sciences, CIIRC CTU, with the support of the RICAIP, ROBOPROX, and ELLIOT projects, under the auspices of the Academic Council of the Czech Academy of Sciences and with the patronage of the President of the CAS and in cooperation with The AI: Artificial Intelligence for Science and Society programme, ACADEMIX, TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology, Art, and Humanities and the Open Science Department—Library of the CAS  Media partners are The Vědavýzkum.cz portal, the Vesmír magazine, Academix revue.Social context of developing technologies
