About the Center for Bits and Atoms

Founded at MIT in 2001, the CBA explores how the digital world meets the physical world, whether through quantum computing, microfluidic logic, digital materials, or advanced fabrication. The CBA also runs the legendary course How to Make (Almost) Anything, inspiring generations of inventors, and supports startups and the global Fab Lab network.
